What's the draw to thin women?

I get why men would like curvy women, but sorry don't understand the draw to extremely thin women. Why?

some men prefer toothpicks, they like to feel they are in control. a smaller frame women is more frail and needs protection.

There is no draw to extremely thin women (i.e. unhealthy looking women). Runway modeling has made some thin women popular in the press, that's it.
