I was wondering whether the macbook is a good graphics machine for a student starting to learn autocad/arhicad in architecture (first year at university)
EDIT: Well, the most important part is the graphics processor; I mean can it handle the requirements of a starter in cad apps (autocad in windows even), or is the intel graphics chip not enough?

if u can select the core 2 duo t7200., 2.0 ghz, 667 mhz fsb, 4mb l2 cache, couple with 2 gb ram
the mac 13.3" is a great machine, but only offers gma950 shared memory
only the larger 15.4" / 17" offer dedicated graphics !
suggest u look into software supported / available for mac v/s windows in order to decide

Easier for you to use Mac it is faster and better at handling graphics, which fits with your description. If you use other programs for your university then make sure you buy a copy of windows and use dual boot so that you can use Windows to run any software incompatible to MAC OS. Good luck, just look for bargains because Macs are expensive especially if you are going to university.
