If you like it hot, but not too busy then August would probably be the best time of year for you. That's when I usually go because I too don't mind the hot weather, plus, since I'm still in school it's the most convenient time for me. The crowds aren't that bad at all. It's a great time of year to go. Especially, since it's the summer almost all the attractions are open, as well as the water parks. Any other time of year numerous attractions are closed for refurbishment or just the season. Also, the parks are open later than ever. This past August, one night while we were there the Magic Kingdom was open until 2:00am for the Extra Magic Hours (you get access to the Extra Magic Hours at the theme parks if you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort) and we walked onto every ride. There were no lines and barely any people at all. It was so awesome. And at night the temperature is so perfect, it's the best time to be out.

Hope I could help!

You should go in October for several reasons.

First, I go then...LOL

Second, there is the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween at the Magic Kingdom where a limited amount of people (for a surcharge, of course) get to stay in the park from 6 PM to midnight and have the run of the place. it is like a private party, complete with trick or treat stations. How many little girls are dressed as Jasmine? Hell, I Lost count before leaving Main Street. Imagine no line for Space or Splash Mountain...it happens then!

Also, at Epcot the annual Food and Wine festival is there. You get to sample small bites of food and small potent and non potent potables from all kinds of countries, including some who are not part of the World Showcase. While the park doesn't extend hours, you can get full and buzzed without much trouble and for not a lot of money buy Mouse House standards.

The temps are usually in the mid 70's to mid 80's, so you will not broil. The ability to use the water parks, etc. are there also. GOlf can be played at most hours and the other parks are less crowded since more people are at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot during that time.

My family goes during Columbus Day Weekend for 5 days and gets our annual fill of the Mouse House.

Logically, the end of summer/beginning of fall would be the best time to visit Disney World. June, July and August are vacationing "prme time", so those months are pretty much out of the picture. And the winter? Forget about it. That's the time most people are escaping to Florida, because the winters are mild there. Besides, that's about the time Disney World whips out their Holiday festivities, with the parades and what-not.. thus, drawing more crowds. Now, Springtime might seem like the perfect time to go. But think about it - this is wedding season. (True, June and July are the usual "wedding" months, but think about it. Would the bride really want to stand in her hot and heavy dress in 100+ degree heat? No. Disney world hits their wedding peak around April/May. And think about all the guests weddings usually bring... Agh.) Besides, springtime is usually when everyone goes to DisneyWorld anyway, hoping to beat the crowd.
Having said that, Early Fall would be the ideal time to plan your trrip. That's when the weather's still nice, and the huge crowds are starting to taper off.

Have fun!

Well if you still enjoy the warmer weather, than late September or early October is the best time to visit. Here is a basic off-peak season listing that is always good to go by to avoid heavy crowds:

Early Feb - early April
Late September - early December

Avoid holidays and weekends. January is busy because of the Marathon they have every year.

My parents live in florida, so does one of my sons, best time to go to disney world is august, as the children in florida are back in school, the weather is perfect, hot but not unbearable and the place is practically empty....people from other countries tend to go in july, and december, so its horribly crowded. I always had a great time in august. And that's the time both my parents and my son recommend. Hope this helps you, also late april and early may, again while the floridian children are still in school. hope you have lots of fun there. It's definitely a wonderful experience for young and old.

It's always nice to go to Disney during holiday and special events. The parks are nicely decorated, and there is usually special entertainment. Consider Christmas, New Years... for EPCOT look for the Food and Wine festival, International Flower and Garden festival, etc.

Definitely February. Christmas can be kind of crowded and march is spring break for the college kids. The weather is ideal and crowds are low(er). I've never been in the summer, but I hear that's the rainy/hurricane season, whereas winter is the sunny, calm season.

Go on a major holiday -- like Christmas. The crowds will be much less than normal. And since it's Florida, it won't be too cold, although you probably won't want to do a lot of swimming.

First time I ever went was Christmas Day. It's much nicer when you don't have to wait an hour+ for everything you want to do.
