The correct term is "hanged", not hung. And while there is an appeal going on, there is something else at play that is easy to forget. The prosecution is giving other victimized groups the opportunity to voice their grievances over the crimes committed against them. The man can only hang once. The hope is that by ensuring everyone's story is documented, the hanging will do some good in resolving the pain inflicted by the actions of the accused. It is actually a smart move.

As for publicity- hasn't there been enough?

No. He's appealing the sentence.

And it would be very, very stupid to make it a public spectacle. Just as stupid as overthrowing the bastard and believing that fairies and nymphs in burkas would be blowing kisses and throwing roses to our American troops, thanking them for the liberation.

This has been a foolish folley conducted by cowardly political leaders who never put their lives on the line for anyone.
