You were a tax payer and you still are (just not paying income tax!) there are many taxes out there income is only one and a very small one compared to that of petrol tax. Do you have gas you pay tax on that. ignore people they say that to make you feel bad. I got ill( NOcure for it) many years ago words like that hurt me ive trying to getr jobs no one will employ me THANKS to the goverment and their Disability discrimination act (good for some people bad for others ). I read your other posting the people that say not so nice things are going to be the ones bitching when they are older about the young they are sad, i do hope they never get ill or made redundant they will be the same people saying ive paid my taxes and my stamp wheres my payout. You dont get a lot on income support but hey you worked before hand so you are entiitled to a little help in your time on need ive was in same position about ten years ago you will get the grant apply now. Get second hand though they grow very quickly( Babies) dont get newborn sizes get 3 - 6months they will last longer. buy sainsbury own nappies Really good! Dont be afraid of accepting things from freinds etc they have been where you are and know how dear things cost. And good luck and best wishes for you and baby. You will raise a good TAX PAYER mother hood is very underpaid but you could raise someone who might be a Doctor Teacher etc any time off you have now will be paid back in FALL! Dont let any one tell you different.

If you are on benefits you will get a one off payment of £500. But instead of being bothered about how much the tax payer will stump up for you, why not consider how you ended up like this, and why everyone else should pay for you?

Ask your BF for some money, ask him to help you buy the big stuff! A cot and a pushchair and basics!

Why not try to patch things up with him? If you can do that then everyone will benefit! You need to think about the baby who surely need a daddy too, and not just about grants and freebies.
Without knowing you I would guess you are still living at home, and this presents a problem in many cases, you wil need to sort out your long term housing problems if this is the case, I would get on a waiting list for a flat.

Your BF may be supportive if you sort out your differences and try again everyone will be better off.

Why did you leave your paid job, and not go on paid maternity leave anyway, why leave a job if you need the money.....?

If you work more than 16 hours a week you would get WFTC tax credits to help you financially.

You will get child benefit of £17.50 per week for your baby, and other benefits, but what has gone wrong here?

.

i think that they are available for people who are not intitled to statatory maternity leave as a minimum. so check if you are intitled to that. i believe they are a maximum of £500 in the uk. personally i didnt use one but my sister in law did and she applied for it through a webite i think. but if you have the maternity book you get from your midwife (if you are in the uk) it will give you a number to call

Yes - and you are entitled to it and do not take any notice of people telling you that its "taxpayers" money - it is set aside for you!!! - I am sure once you are sorted and the baby is older - you will get yourself back on track - good luck to you xxx
