As u have already probably read, I hurt my wrist yesterday from falling down, i told my mom about it, and she said to just put ice on it and would look at it when she got home (shes a nurse, she gets home at 7:30 p.m. and i fell at 6:30 a.m.) so i put ice on it then an ace bandage. when she got home it was already too late to go to the doctors(she didnt want to go out again in the dark) so I went to bed, and woke uyp numerous times from my wrist hurting, and being in unfomfortabe posions(like not having it flat on the bed) when I got up this morning, my wrist was throwbing, and now i can hardly even move it, only my dad is home, my mom all ready left for work,

what do i do???
plz help, and fast too plz

It may be throbbing because you've wrapped it too firmly. Just wrap it without stretching the bandage.

If you can find something around the house to act as a splint use it (Think ruler, scrap of wood, aluminum pie pan that can be easily reshaped, piece of cardboard box, a largish comb, a small holiday catalog that can be rebent into shape etc)

Place the splint over the wrist area so that part of your palm lies flat on it. Then do the wrap. This will keep the wrist firmer.

Take some Tylenol and keep it wrapped so you're not using it. If it still hurts later today, maybe you can go to the doctor (some doctors work half days on Saturdays) or if it's severe pain, have someone take you to the E.R. There really isn't much you can do for sprains but reduce the pain with meds and not use it. If something's broken, someone will need to treat it.

Make a splint of some sort, use two rulers one on either side of your wrist and wrap them with an ace bandage. Go to the Doctor or hospital to get it an ex-ray it could be a hairline fracture. When you have to get a cast on it hit your mom in the head with it because she didn't think it was so serious LOL

Get yourself to the nearest Accident and Emergency room immediately. You could simply have a nasty sprain, but you could have broken a bone and the faster you get it treated the better it will heal. Nothing else will do - go there.
