This is kinda hard to say, how was he acting before you left for home? If he was really sad that you had to go and the two of you still have alot of contact over the phone, i'd say he is still interested. If he doesn't seem to care one way or the other, he might not have been too serious about the relationship. If your visa was going to run out before you could set arrangements to get married, he could have always went to a justice of the peace and got married within a few days. Hope all works out for you.

Why did you two not marry? Were you not ready or was it something else? Regardless if you love him and he loves you, you need to be upfront and honest with him. Let him know how you feel and give him a chance to tell you how he feels. Ask him the questions you need to ask. There is so much to gain and so little to lose if you just talk to each other. If both of your hearts are in the right place, you two should try your hardest to be together, no matter what. Best wishes!

Are you sure both of you fell in love or just you? Why didn't you marry him when he asked?

Maybe he knew you were going back to your country and if he wanted to still get as much "free milk without buying the cow" maybe that's why he proposed in the first place.

Maybe he was using you...maybe not but you have to look at all the angles.

Why didn't you get married? Do the two of you want to spend the rest of your lives together? The two of you need to talk and determine if the two of you truly want a live together. If the answer is yes, then you can work out a way to make it happen! But talk about your future together!

He may have doubts on what the future holds for the relationship with your home being so far away. If he fell in love with you I would not think he had a problem with where you were from. It may just be that he knows he would not want to ever move that far from his friends and family and thinks its unfair to expect you to move from yours. You should talk to him about how you are feeling.

I personally wouldn't have doubts. He liked you for you, not for your nationality. (He might have liked your accent too) and he obviously liked you a LOT to want to propose. Working out where you live if you ever marry could be interesting though

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

If he loves you he will try to find a way. If not, there are 3 billion other men on the planet, so cheer up!

My dear Love is like a bird if you hold it slightly it may fly away and if you hold it tightly it may die, so whatever you do , do in a manner of practical way.
