Why is my 6630 saying offline and only allowing me to make emergency calls?

switch the phone off and swich it back on

the first message you will get is " would you like to turn on the phone in an offline mode" YES or NO

pick the one thats most appropriate.....NO

It could be that the simcard hasn't been registered correctly, or depending where and how you bought the phone it could be blocked. Another possibilty is you havent got a 3g simcard most simcards are 2.5g but the 6630 is a 3g phone, and you will need to upgrade to a 3g simcard. It could also be possible that the simcard is correct but has been dislodged and that could be enough to make the phone not to work correctly.

I had that at first- I played around with it though and eventually fixed it. I can't remember exactly what I did though as I was just reading through the manual at the time following the instructions. You can get the manual online at Nokia.com.
