where i live there has always been a majority of Chelsea shirts and i don't live in London.as teams win more they gain more support, this is not a new phenomenon. in the early 70s seeing a person who supported Liverpool in my area would have been a rarity, and with the exception of the Irish community, there were very few man. u. supporters. as they started to win things, they gained more supporters and on the whole they were not just fair-weather supporters. as Chelsea become more successful they will gain more supporters. until recently you could go into a sports shop in Ireland and the only shirts you could buy were man u, Liverpool and Celtic. on my last visit there were also Chelsea and arsenal shirts. times change, people change, empires rise and fall.

First of all footy shits are seen as a fashion icon tomost girls ad becos chelsea have all the money and have won alot they are the most popular for girls which i selling loads, and also in the 70's, chelsea was the ans favourite team for kids, now theyre older and have their own money (adults) they wil buy there favourite teams shirt.
