Alexander Bishop and call him Xander. Bishop is also a family surname in my family. It's just I think Xander is a bit much, but as a nickname it's okay.
Always, envision the proposed baby name on a resume and imagine yourself in a hiring situation and what you would make of seeing the name on a business resume.

I don't think it's a good idea to call a baby Bishop Xander. For one thing, I don't think giving a person a title as a first name is a good idea, let him earn his titles. Xander looks like it is derived from Alexander. Why not call the baby Alexander?
I know one doesn't want to think of bad things happening to one's child, but would you really want to see a report in the paper saying that "Bishop Xander Smith, age 18, was last night arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct"?
I favour giving children relatively simple, traditional names. Avoid names that are difficult to pronounce and avoid names that will make them a butt of jokes at school (check out the initials, and what it sounds like when you say it quickly, there's a problem with, for example, Ian Paul Standing, as there also is with "Lew Dawe".) Also avoid names with silent letters. I used to have one until I deed polled it.

I like Xander, but sorry not a big fan of Bishop...too churchy. I have a friend called 'Parish' and he got teased a lot about his name when he was in school, he doesn't like it at all. How about the other way round, Xander Bishop flows better in my opinion.

I love Xander, but Bishop is just asking for him to be bullied. Kids would be calling him "Father" all the time. Are you trying to steer him toward the seminary?

Do you know what a bishop is?
A bishop is an ordained member of the Christian clergy who, in the majority of Christian churches, holds a position of authority.
I don't think that it would sound or look good as a first name.
And Xander, i don't like it at all...
But that's my opinion...
