It just drives me crazy when I'm at work and people ask for a "happy meal" instead of a "kid's meal" or worse whenever someone asks for "chicken nuggets" instead of "tenders"

Habit, Habit, Habit. They take the kids to McDonald's, because of Advertising, Advertising, Advertising. When the kid's are not around, they want a good Burger. Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.

While I've never done that, sometimes its easy to forget that the terms "chicken nugget" and "happy meal" are such a part of our language that people just dont' think about it. Truth be told though, it would annoy me as well.

What would really piss me off though is if someone asked for a Big Mac at BK. Seriously, who does that? How often does that happen? Now those people are just dumb!

I had that problem when I worked at Hardee's years ago. With the burger swap, most of the time it was the person being a big dumb jerk. Making jokes, and being stupid, ya know?

As far as ordering the kid's meal, that's just an honest mistake. I can't recall ever doing it myself, but I can see where that could happen.

They do the same thing to us at McDonald's!!! Order a Whopper when they mean a Big Mac, onion rings when they want fries. What I really love is when they yell at US about it, like we're the idiots for trying to correct them!!!

Because Big Mac has become a generic name for a big hamburger, like Coke is for all colas. It has to do with advertising.
When people see a yellow round smiling face they think of Wal-Mart.

People probably frequent McDonald's more than Burger King, so its just the lingo they are used to. You need to chill, and repeat the order back using your menus words and if they still insist on the competitors food tell them they are the wrong place. lol

It's the mind-altering drugs added to the Big Mac.

Well, "chicken nuggets" and "happy meal" are fairly common terms, and most people know what they mean when they say it.

Do you blow your nose on a Kleenex, or a Puffs?

Alot of people say,"Coke," when they mean, "Soda," too.

Don't take it so personally.....

For the same reason that I walked into a Subway one time
and gave the guy a Blimpies coupon he just politely said your
at Subway we cannot use their coupon here. I was so embarrassed that I left.

They are more than likely highly distracted.

That or they are high or drunk.

Or it could be they really wanted to go to Mickey D's but were strapped for time and BK was closer, but when they ordered they still had McD's in their head.
