There is a test called "Kuder". This is a written test that can be given to you by the psychology department of the school you are attending. This will tell you which fields, according to your aptitudes, you would be most likely to succeed at. But, at the end, it's your choice. For example: I did 2 years of law school and then realized I hated it. I took Kuder to figure out what to do with my life, and I got law with a predominant 73%...Psychology was not among my choices, but I felt I would be good at it. 6 years later, I'm a Clinical Psychologist. In conclusion, listen to your intuition, and do what YOU feel is right.

Psychology appears like a good decision yet look heavily into the courses provided in quite some faculties as you may finally end up doing elements of psych that you'll no longer savor (like animal behaviour or how the interest sees and stuff like that) i'd look at performing some social psych / crew theory i'd also advise searching into youngsters paintings as this can be some thing you savor and may help human beings at the same time. i'd quite quite advise getting as a lot volunteer paintings as accessible in all of those aras (peer mentoring / vast brother vast sister schemes / even assisting at elderly or disabled residential centres) this can help you opt for what you're quite fascinated in and also may actually help surprisingly once you commence searching at getting a pastime. I had countless years volunteer adventure and four years paid empolyment by the time i ended my psych degree and then pastime a pastime I loved while my classification associates who did no longer have that adventure ended up operating in call centres attempting to get the volunteer adventure they needed for decades. good luck with even with ou be sure

Do what you enjoy and see where it takes you.

I'm doing a computer science degree not because I enjoy it, but because I thought I was going to work in this field. I have since changed my mind, making the degree irrelevant.

Wish I'd done theology now :(

Besides I know someone who have a masters degree in history from cambridge and who is working for a career as a manager at Woolworths!

You don't have to think in terms of choosing a career. Most jobs out there are not career choices specifically. They are the result of people studying what they enjoyed, finding a job at some point, which led to another job, and another job...

If you didn't have to think in terms of career or money or anything, what would you enjoy doing most?

I think you've just answered your own question. But go and see a careers adviser anyway to tease out some other ideas you might not yet have thought of.

Do what you like best.
So you can express your creativity with loving feelings that others will admire your gifts of life as success in worshiping God on planet earth.
Along the way money will flow into your pockets with time on planet earth.
Not just work with "All for the money" and living in misery in planet of apes.
