When the clock changes backwards or forwards there is no difference in the number of hours daylight. All it does is change the times at which it is light. In the case of the backwards move the daylight goes to the morning hours. When they go forward it goes to the evening hours.
Pleased to note that about the 22nd of December it will be the shortest day and the days will start to get longer.
Have yourself a very happy Christmas.

The North and South Poles !!! The daylight hours are collected from all participating countries and divided between the poles -- otherwise they would both be in complete darkness for all 12 months of each year !! Any excess daylight savings are auctioned off to Africa and Australia!

24 of them get recycled so we can use them in standard time later in the year. The rest go into outer space and the time continuum. Now you know.
