What is the secret of the Mark of the Beast, 666?

I always wondered why my Bible wrote "the number of 'a man'", in different
lettering. Like it wasn't an exact translation. So I looked it up in Greek, which
it was originally wrote in, and it says "of man". Like having something to do
with our material reality.
The most logical thing I'v heard, is that it is a computer code already in use.
It is on the back of most store bought items, though there are different codes
in use. This one, has three sets of two thin lines in it. One on each end,
and one in the middle. That is a 6 in that type of code. 666.
Computers run on a system of 6s. The electricity goes through circuits
like 000001 is an A. 000010 is a B. Something like that.
If my understanding is correct. The mark on the hand will be a physical
thing like a tatoo, or chip implant, that they can run scanners over and
keep up with billions of people. And if you're on the poop list?
But the mark in the forehaed I think is a spiritual mark. The minds eye, (3rd
eye). Like the mark on the forehead of Gods elect. And whether one is
full of Light, or Darkness!

In "numerology", an ancient form of Jewish "divination" (a way to predict the future, kind of), you would make a chart and take the letters of the name of a person and assign them numbers. In a pre-determined way, these numbers would then be added together to get a 3-digit number. In the case of Neron Caesar, his number was "666". The mark of the beast was the markings of the Roman soldiers. This was a sneaky way for the Israelites to be revolutionary and not have the Romans understand what they were up to. All of the modern nonsense ascribed to this is just plain weird - this explanation makes the most sense.

Revelation thirteen:18 denotes this singular "guy": ... So sure, the "apostate is a person" or looks to have a person's frame. You are proper, no longer a demon however the antichrist is the angelic frame of flesh. In Greek "antiChrist" is "as a substitute of Christ", that is the one who might replacement his self and painting his self as Christ. The "apostate" is the one who served God and stopped serving God. This a scholar of the bible can admire because the liar, the snake, the historical dragon, the accuser, who served God and grew to be filled with his self and desired to be God his self. This one shall be found out on the fullfilment of the "6 bowls, 6 trumpets, and six seals". That is his mark and the way he'll be visible.

If there is a secret number of the beast (assuming of course that there is a beast) then it would be unknown to us. ITS A SECRET!

Which beast were we talking about anyway?

If you had the mark of the secret number of the beast, would you know it?

from what I was told the number 666 refereed to Emperor Nero Cesar as this was the number his name added up to be. after all he blamed the Christians for the burning of Rome so the Romans persecuted them. therefore his name was associated with the mark of the beast.

There is no beast...
supposedly, in christian theology, the mark of the beast is "something" on either the forehead or hand, which some people now beleive is the chip now going around Europe, which are placed either in your hand, or forehead...

I work for a secret goverment organisation and i shouldn't probably tell you this, but last year our research team discovered that if you turn the 666 upside down you get 999. I know, i know one day the world will know the truth, one day the secret league of 999 will come to save us !!!!!!!

The best explanation I ever came across is by Robert Graves in his book "The White Goddess".

"DCLXVI" = Domitianus Caesar Legatos Christi (CH= greek X) Violenter Interfecit"
That means " The Domitian ceasar violently killed the envoys of Christ "

Robert Graves reads it as a "titulus" (the "title" of the crime that was displayed over the executed criminal, like INRI) and the "Domitian ceasar" refers to Nero, whose father was a plebeian criminal, Gnaeus Domitius, and who did not like to be reminded of that after his adoption by Claudius into the royal family.

I think it is unlikely that it refers to Hebrew lore, since Revelations was written in Greek, and its author a native speaker of Greek.
