I know you can install Linux on PS3. But haven't heard of installing Vista. There would be problems about drivers and stuff.

You cannot install Vista on PS3 because PS3 uses hardware that is not standard also Vista will only work on Windows compliant hardware products. Which means attempting to install Vista on a PS3 is something you should do if you don't mind buying a new PS3.
