Maybe not Texan, but he sure makes you think! Anyone these days that can get other people to think about matters greater than themselves deserves a big thumbs up in my opinion. I may not share all of his political opinions or life experiences, but he is a great visual storyteller and makes me consider my own values and those of others. Not all of his films are that great, but he stays true to his beliefs and style and so yes, I believe that he is worthy of high praise.
