Please do not listen to anyone that says your legs should be apart on a flip turn! You want your legs close together so that you aren’t creating more friction and flailing about. Also you want to flip close enough to the wall to get an explosive push off the wall and having your legs on the wall at the same time will help significantly.

It's really not important.
During flip turn you should worry more about dropping your head down and flipping your legs over as fast as you can. I you can do it faster with you legs together, then all the power to ya.

Your legs should be together. When you flip this will be easier to cut through the water with one piece (being both legs together) rather than apart, creating more resistance with two legs flailing about.

You need to keep your legs closed so when you go to flip you dont have water going through your legs to make you slower

my coach tells me:
"Your legs should be shoulder width apart"
keep your body close together and push off the wall fast followed by good kicking or a good pullout. turns can do so much during a race. my turns are pretty good so i catch up to swimmers sometimes. good luck

My coach always tells me to keep my legs together when leaving the wall. It helps your slipstream & it does feel a little faster.
