It wasn't really a resort but i think it fits into ur question...

I lived in Honolulu for 3 years - best times of my life - so awesome!!
- I first ate Hawaiian Host chocolate covered macadamia nuts here!!! LoL

Benidorm in Spain, I didn't have to use Spanish to talk to anyone, the locals all spoke English
