we did have higher tax rates during the Clinton years, but that was also when we were really prosperous. I think Bush has actually made the government bigger, and yes, we might be paying less taxes, but at what expense? Borrowing from own future and paying 15% of our budget to interest payments on loans.
Try to run your household like that. Spend more than your income and borrow money and pay interst on it...

The President WILL always be a Republican. Thank God we'll get rid of the bum in January of 2009 and have a forward looking government again with a Democrat in the White House.
Incidentally the asker is a typical Bushie. A quick read through shows at least nine grammatical and spelling errors,

The value of a president is in how independent He can made decisions. Party influence is always bad because as the top man in the pile the President must realize not every party idea is right. People should vote for the person they believe will be strong enough to do what He feels right not the party that He belongs to.

You do know WHY Democrats get a bad reputation for raising taxes? Because they always try to bring the country out of debt because of haphazard tax cuts to benefit rich republicans.
And no, don't lie and say the tax cut you got helped any. It probably all went to cost-of-living increases, as inflation is incredibly high.

you need to quite study some books. President Clinton left place of work with a funds surplus. Reagan tripled the nationwide Debt. Bush one and Bush 2 both doubled the nationwide Debt.

Yeah.........we Americans always have to pay higher taxes when a democrat is elected because they have to make up for THE HUGE DEFICIT THAT THE REPUBLICANS CAUSED! More than ever now.

Can you comprehend what a national debt. is ? Do you know what deficit spending is ? The reason Democrats raise taxes is to balance the budget. You are a fiscally irresponsible jerk

Republicans want to keep things the same? So Bush's wire taps, tax-breaks to the exclusively rich, and WAR were there before were they? I don't remember those things. Oh and, what of the republicans who voted for Bush TWICE, and now go around complaining about him. Get a brain, and a life. ;)

You know, it doesn't really matter. The President, whatever party he may belong to, should always look after the welfare of the citizens.
