okay if my period started on the 1st, and ended on the morning of the 7th, when would i need to have sex to better my chances of getting pregnant????

The most fertile time is twelve days from the onset of your period, so unless you like it messy, you're best bet would be from the 8th to the 13th. Good Luck.

It depends on whether or not you have a regular cycle. Normally you are most fertile in the week before your period comes, but this can vary from person to person.
The best way to check is with an ovulation kit as it can actually help you to pin point the times you are ovulating, and then you can know for sure that that is the best time to be having sex.

if u have a regular 28 day cycle you are best to have sex on the even days of your cycle between the 10th day and the 20th day. The 1st day of your period is day 1. Do a google search there are some great ovulation calculator websites as well as tips to increse fertility. Worked for me I'm due in Feb. Good Luck!

If you are married and you still don't know this I am very concerned.
Ovulation is 14 to 16 days after you start your period. Go to Baby Center.com, it has an ovulation calculator.

Most women ovulate 11 to 12 days after the first day of their period. That means you need to have sex on the 11th, 12th, and 13th, just to be safe.

You would have your best chances of getting PG between the 12th and the 16th if you were on a 28 day cycle.

people may say the 14th day from the day you started your period I had planned a pregnancy before and can tell you it can be anywhere from the 9th-15th from first day of period and sperm lives for 3 days so you don't have to do it everyday unless you want a girl also what helped me I believe was iron tablets.

About the 17th... a woman is generally most fertile midway between periods.
Note also that a man's sperm can live around 24 hours inside a woman... which helps.
