Hi, I am currently in the middle of writing a story and I have no idea what to write next. I have had writer's block for about a month now. I really want to finish my story, so do you have any ideas about how to get over writer's block? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

There is no such thing as writers block.Write anything, even if it ends up in the waste paper basket.Set goals of writing for at least five minutes at a time.Doing this will build up momentum and eventually you wiil see something good emerge.Try it!

Just look around the room u are working in, and look at things, lke a closet, or a vanity table something to that degree.Anything that could spark up a writing fiasco!!!You could also go somewhere that always inspires you, like a park, or, your favorite resturant, so just go where your started your story because obviously that place gave you nsiration to even start the story!

Whats works for me is to start writing something else..remember in grade school when the teacher put a prompt on the board and told you to start your story with that...you can find those on several writing sites...even just a short 500-1000 word story can get my brain juice running again

Take a 10 to 15 minute break. It's enough time to get away from not having a thought but not totally distract you and lose train of thought.

it's extremely difficult , almost frustrating .
you need to leave the whole "plot" but not for overly long (like a couple or three months is okay ) but you don't want to lose the "plot" , if you get my drift .
a walk down the beach , down the road --- just while away some time so as you can get back to focusing --- it will happen , just don't get to ' pushy' . good luck .

Exhaustion usually drains the mind. My suggestion is to change your location. Different scenery relaxes the brain and can spice your imagination bank too! Its like recharging your battery packs so I guess, a little snack will help too.

stop whatever you are working on...
go for a walk,
watch a comedy,
forget about the story or how it'll flow,
listen to some music...
or go for a nap....
relax.....breathe slowly....
