i had an affair with a girl on 18.9.06. Her last period(LMP) was on 11.09.06. On 29th oct06 when we checked the doctor told that she is pregnant by 7 weeks & 1 or 2 days. I would like to ask whether i am the one who will be fathering the child

You probably aren't,but once the baby is born it is in your best interest to get a paternity test done by the hospital, they will swab (Q-tip) your mouth and the babies and detrmine if your deoxyribonucleic (DNA) acid are the same

Sit her down and ask her. You have a right to know. If it was the other way around I'm sure she wouldn't have a problem asking you. Since it was an affair, how the hell can you not be curious. She should understand. Do the DNA test of course but not before the child is born, there can be serious affects on the fetus and even can be fatal. Good Luck

Since you had sex with her only 7 days after her period, which would make it the dangerous or mostly likely to conceive, you could very well be the father. You could always have a DNA test done to be sure, when the baby is born, but for future reference, twelve days from the beginning of the period is the fertile time.

WHen a doctor tells you that you are 7 weeks pregnant, it is not from the date of conception. My wife gave birth to our son 40 weeks to the day from the start of her last period and doctors said she was right on time. They measure pregnancy from the date of the start of the last period. So whether you got her pregnant or the guy who banged her sixdays after you did, the doctor will still say she is 7 weeks pregnant.

You will need a paternity test to determine if you are the father, daddy.

From the sound of things though she got pregnant around the time she was with you, so there is a chance you could be the father.

Other things that may change the results are whether or not she had sex with her other partner around this time, or if it was just you.

This will involve inserting a needle into her uterus, and drawing off some of the fluid the fetus is "swimming" in. Better be sure what you're getting into.

Persons today can not stand the fact that they are unhappy with whom they are with at that particular time. I have been happly married to my wife of 11 years. The calendar does not seem to indicate that you are. I would recommend a paternity test, which they can now do before the baby is even born.

Oops if they was anyone one else before that and you were also with her before that time then you would need a DNA test to find out who is the biological father
