Dear Jem
Sorry you find yourself in this situation, your son is 19months you say, he will be 2years when this other child is born, you do not say what sort of accommodation you live in, if you live in a council flat you may be able to get a transfer. I know of a number you can ring, which might help you. It is free , 0800 915 04600 Mon - Fri 9-9, Sat 9-5. Hope this is of help to you, don't rush into this, what ever you decide, that number will always be available for you to use.
I wish you well.

You need to have a talk with a friend. A lot has gone on in your life it seems and the ones screaming on here 'don't do it' forget that your ex has left.
Then when you're ready, go to your GP. They should be able to refer you for a termination under the new abortion pill up to 9 weeks; after 9 weeks it will be the D&C method (the cervix is dilated and the uterine contents scraped out under anaesthetic).
Both methods are safe if done under the NHS. There is a very low rate of any contents being left in the womb. The risks of infection are miniscule and the claims that abortion causes infertility and breast cancer are trumped up by the anti abortionists to scare women off having terminations.
Good luck.

Talk this through with your Health Visitor before making the final decision.
We females can take a lot more than we realise and this is something you will have a lifetime to think about.
In the early stages an abortion is a relatively minor procedure but the consequences are not

As your only a few weeks gone you will have the abortion pill. You go to hospital and then stay there until you have miscarried. I know some people here are saying don't do this but the end of the day we don't know what situation you are in. If you think its for the best and for your son go with your heart. Its not nice to think about what is going to happen. But only you will know. Good luck Hun. xx

Sorry to hear of your problem. You will probably given a pill of some kind to induce a miscarriage. Should not be painful but not very comfortable either. One wonders how in this modern time you can have an unexpected pregnancy as there are so many ways of avoiding such a problem. I suggest next time you say no and avoid such predicaments.
Have a happy Christmas with your son.

I think that the majority of people that have responded to this message are a discrace! I can't believe that so many of you are so backwards in your point of view! You are obviously uneducated in this matter, so in future I would keep your ridiculous points of view to yourself!!
If you visit www.bpas.org that will answer all of your questions, and I don't think it would do any harm for all you morons to have a look too! All the comments I read were incorrect in their explanation of procedures! YOUR FETUS DOES NOT HIDE IN THE FAR CORNER OF YOUR WOMB AS IT SENSES DANGER...JESUS SHE DIDNT SAY SHE WAS 20 WEEKS!! You people are ******* twats!!

Please do not do the abortion. Not only will you kill the baby, but you will suffer as well, there are different complications after such an intervention. I know that you may be scared at the moment but think how you will feel in years' time. It is a huge burden getting rid off a baby. What if your little son gets to know later when he grows up that you got rid off his little sis or bro to look after him.Am sure he wouldnt be pleased. There are ways to get the money from the government. If you really dont want it, give it to people who are trying for years to have a baby but cannot for various reasons.
I am sorry to hear that your partner/husband left you ...You must have felt unloved. Dont do it to the baby, I am sure he/she would like to live. What if you give birth to a next Mozart? or a doctor who will discover a cure for cancer?
I have seen a program on abortion and there are different methods --they vacuum a baby off a mother's womb or cut it into pieces inside and take it out. The baby inside senses the danger and tries to hide in the 'furthest corner of the womb'. Later, those women who had the abortion suffered from great depression...IT is awful, please dont kill it, I know it is your choice what you do with your body, but there is another person inside you who deserves to live..so please dont get rid off someone who cannot defend himself/herself yet..

This is an issue you need to discuss with your doctor - not on a website.
Unfortunately it is very unlikely that one of us is a health professional and therefore we are unable to give you an sort of correct advice.
See a doctor ASAP or go to a Family Planning clinic, where they can discuss with you in the right environment what your options are.

it's not possible to be three weeks gone, there is no way to tell that you are pregnant unless you are 4 weeks gone, you would take a tablet and then 2 days later get the foetus removed at the hospital with a type of vacuum, if you didn't want to get pregnant it the first place y didn't you use protection?
