I am thinking of getting an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice 2.4GHz Socket 939. Does anyone know if this will run okay on an ASUS a8v deluxe motherboard? Right now I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.2 GHz & an Nvidia Geforce 7800 GS KO ACS3 (if that matters) thanks.

I have the ASUS A8V 939 mobo, it's excellent. I'm running a AMD Athlon 64x2 3800+ processor on it and 2GB RAM, primarily for VHS to DVD transfers and for video editing. No problems so far! The current technology for AMD based mobos is AM2 with PCI-e.

the computing device# corresponds promptly with the buss velocity of your RAM memory. in the adventure that your RAM runs at 333MHz, then the quicker memory won't have any influence. in the adventure that your RAM runs at 400MHz, then it is going to perform a splash extra suitable with PC3200 than having the slower PC2700
