Jesus was from Nazareth, which is in Ethiopia, so he was a very dark-skinned Hebrew, possibly even "black" by "modern standards". However as nobody was around to paint a picture of him in his time nobody really knows exactly what he looked like. You will see that pictures of him all over the world reflect the races where he is depicted - black in Africa, white in Europe. I knew this a long time ago - Jesus was "black" - I can indeed handle the truth.

What difference does it make?

Has his skin color has helped you any? No. And it's not supposed to. Learn from his teachings and his message if you're a real "believer" in Christianity.

Also, if you're a true believer in God, you wouldn't idolize his skin color anyway. That's one of first rules of the Ten Commandments! Don't make idols (or worship) things which are in the heavens, on earth, or in the sea! Don't make gods of things that are of the flesh.

But, you probably haven't learned anything from his teachings at all. If you did, you would be concerned about his message and NOT HIS SKIN COLOR.

Remember.... Jesus didn't worship John's skin color did he?

Take care, player, and be smart, okay?

If it is a fact I would have no trouble dealing ith it. I can handle any truth, as long as they are truths, not anything any idiot wants to tell me is truth.

Despite what is mentioned in Dogma (one of my favorite movies by the way) Jesus was not black. He wasn't white either. He most likely had tanish skin, much like the people who live there right now have.

Yeh, I'm with SolarFanatic on this one.....I can handle Jesus being black but I don't see people as black or white....just part of God's children regardless of colour, race, sexual preference etc.

PEACE!!!

No matter what the color of his skin was he was, is, allways will be and should be a source of inspiration in your daily life to help you descern what the right thing to do is in any given situation. To imagine him as black or white and think it matters is missing the point. And I seriously doubt that he would care how you choose to imagine him but he would care that you are hung up on that as opposed to his message.

i don't think that Jesus was black just because he was a born Nazarene. he probably had dark brown skin. but there is nothing wrong with being back. if jesus were black, he would still be Jesus.
thank the Lord!

George Bush says he talks to Him all the time. I'm sure George wouldn't hold back any information about anything from the free people in America.
