everytime i contact any of my creditors i seem to be put through to indian call centres i pay enough interest so i would like to speak to someone without a strong accent . i dont understand them they dont understand me whats the point?

There is no point - they dont have the info to help anyway - BT is a prime example and are bloody useless. Its a ploy I think so they can set debt collectors onto us and claw more money back in fee's xxx

That would be the joy of global outsourcing. Companies have realised that they can hire Indians and pay for the long distance phone use much cheaper than they can hire local labor (I am in the US and we have exactly the same problem)
Here is the sticky part, if our jobs keep moving to India, how long before we don't have enough money to stay at the top of the economic food chain?

YEAH , those selfish people wanting to feed and clothe their children. What selfish barstards, wanting to educate their children and give them clean drinking water. Nobody thinks of people like you and me! We need clear BBC English accents, like the beautiful tones they speak in Newcastle. How are we expected to get clear consive advise on mortgage rates if we speak to Indians who live in a shed?

vote with your feet - walk to another bank where the call centre is in the UK - First Direct is an excellent example - and long may it remain so !

Cheap labour.

The banks make a lot more money because people in India are willing to work for less.

Simple as.

aaarrrgggghhhh i was on the phone to bt for an hour last week.they put me through to india.i was livid as neither of us could understand each other

do what i do refuse to speek to them and demand to be transfered to an english call centre

just say "put someone who is english, or can it least speak it clearly", thats what i do, sometimes they do, sometimes they just get arsey lol, but you have to try
