Hey, calm down, we all develop at different rates. Didn't get mine 'til 13, yet all my friends already had theirs. Some girls are later than that. If you really get worried, check it out with a doc, but I'm sure there's nothing to be concerned about.

I would caution you not to make too many conclusions based on such a small sampling of friends. Better data would come if you questioned the entire school, for instance. You'd find many more who haven't.
If you are really worried, see your doctor or talk to your health teacher or counselor at school after class. Better yet, talk to your mom and find out when she got hers.
There is a phenomenon happening with young women these day where some are maturing a lot sooner that others. There is great debate in the medical community about what is causing these changes; food, environment, sugars, preservatives, lifestyle, genetics etc.
Regardless of these trends, one thing is certain; it happens at different times for different people. Yours will likely come soon enough.
If you are really worried, a doctor can do some tests, but he will likely suggest that you wait at least a year or two.

You are completely normal. Although I was 12, one of my best friends was 17. A lot of it will depend on your mom's age when she started. If you don't mind, ask her. If she was 14, then know that you still have quite a wait. If she was 12, then know that it is probably right around the corner. In the meantime, enjoy not having to deal with it!

Don't worry. Everyone is different. Your body will decide when is the right time to start. Besides, this is something that is going to come every month for the next 40 years or so, no need to rush it. I was 15. Now I am almost 30 and I am so ready for this to be over.

I got mine when I was 8, which is very un-normal.
Ignore your friends; they sound like they're just showing off. Trust me, sweetheart, when I tell you that every day that goes by without having your period is a heaven-sent blessing!
If you still haven't got your period by the time you're 18 or so, then you can start stressing out and seeing doctors. Until then, chill out and enjoy every moment of your pre-period life!

I didn't get mine until I was 13. Everybody's body and rhythm cycle is different. You grow and mature at different rates.
Please don't worry about it, either. Sometimes worry and stress will actually *delay* your period.
One way to tell if your cycles are going to start soon is if you are moody feeling and your abdomen feels kinda bloated and tender over your uterus.
Your friends are right, though... you're not normal. Nobody's normal! "Normal" is a setting on my dryer. You, however, are unique and very special. Remember that, hold your head up and smile, girl!

You are completely normal, there is a range of when girls usually get their period, and 12 is just an average. I got mine at 12 but my mom got hers at 14. However, I wish I didn't get mine until...well...ever.

You are completely normal.
It is considered normal to get your period anytime before age 16, so you have nothing to worry about. I got mine at 14, almost 15. There are actually long-term health benefits to no menstruating early, so instead of worrying about it, just be glad you don't have it yet.

Honey, you are perfectly normal. Don't be afraid. Some girls don't get their periods til they are 16. You will get your period when your body time clock says its time. Telling when one got their period is personal and it doesn't belong on a site like this but you are fine. Don't worry.
