Go really slow and make sure the person is comfortable, don't just start having sex with them! Get them used to the action with the same foreplay you would use for a girl's parts. Make sure if it is a girl you don't cross-contaminate.

YOU LUBRICATE. WIth some water based gel or lube. Spit drys up to quick. I know some bottoms like the dry friction and the natural wetness of the anus.

Get some lube and go slow. Really slow. You have to get past two spincters. One you can relax, one you can't. So, the only way to do it comfortably is to let it relax itself, and the only way to do that is to go slow, and use lots of lube.

second of all, no it shouldn't be done at all!!!
third of all, no it shouldn't be done if it is dry. You can tear the membrane and hurt the person. Use lubricant!!
