I just brushed the dust off of my algebra knowledge (or was it part of geometry - it's been a very long time) and by struggling I finally figured this problem out.
I came back to answer it for you and found that Richard already had. Aargh.

Well at least I'm giving you a second opinion that the answer is negative1.5

And now I'm taking me two points for answering this and going away.

x=-3/2 is the only real root

2(-3/2)^3-(-3/2)^2+9=0

for the other roots

2x^2-4x+6=0
x^2-2x+3=0
not real roots.

factor the left side using the sum or difference of cubes rule.
