Hearing has all sorts of effects on me.
Some music is capable of making my hair stand on end and I get a feeling washing over me.
The sound of cicadas instantly takes me to a beach in the Mediterranean.
.........and back to music again. Specific bits of music I associate with moments and memories - just a snippet can take my mind off to somewhere different in an instant.

Touch. Between touching and seeing. The others we can lose and still enjoy life. Not seeing would be hard. But not touching or feeling pleasure. Think about all the hugs you gave and received in you life. What if you never had the pleasure to touch or feel anyone.

My first instinct was was to say touch, but actually, I think it would be hearing. I can hear country or bluegrass music and think of my Daddy. I can hear coffee brewing and think of Mom. Any New York accent makes me think of Tony. Hearing the ocean waves takes me to many places. There are so many sounds that take me places. (Good question!)

My hearing. Music and songs from my past transport me as well as any time machine ever could.
