Evergreen sung by Barbara Streisand
This is a very nice song. The lyrics and melody ooze out of the speaker and fill the room with a pervasive flavor of love.
About as sugary as it gets.

Could you elaborate?
My idea of a sugary song is "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters. Perhaps you'd like "Top Of The World" or "For All We Know" by the Carpenters. It's just so sweet and the melody and lyrics are written to perfection.

Now, when you say "sugary" what do you mean? How about "Tempted by the Fruit of Another" by Squeeze. Or possibly "Cherry, Cherry" by Neil Diamond. Look at the early Beatles, for instances- "Love me do", or " I want to hold your hand". Those are my picks.

If you're talking "sugary," as in so sweet it hurts, it would have to be Billy Joel's "She's Got A Way." The music, as well as the lyrics, are about as "sugary" as possible.
"She's got a way about her
I don't know what it is
But I know that I can't live without her
She's got a way of pleasin'
I don't know what it is
But there doesn't have to be a reason anyway
She's got a smile that heals me
I don't know why it is
But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way of talkin'
I don't know why it is
But it lifts me up when we are walkin' anywhere
She comes to me when I'm feelin' down
Inspires me without a sound
She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a way of showin'
How I make her feel
And I find the strength to keep on goin'
She's got a light around her
And ev'rywhere she goes
A million dreams of love surround her ev'rywhere
She comes to me when I'm feelin' down
Inspires me without a sound
She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a smile that heals me
I don't know why it is
But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way about her
I don't know what it is,
But I know that I can't live without her anyway"
Ouch... must go brush... teeth hurt!

A melody doesn't get more saccharine than that.
