You know, the minute you look at someone you think, that boy is trouble or something like that?

It is not a matter of right or wrong or we should or shouldn't. My question is- DO YOU?

I would say no just on principle. I don't believe in judging a book by it's cover. But there are some instances( for self perserverance) where it is necessary. ..... But I remember 8 years ago I was managing a restaurant where unbeknownst to me at the time management was trying to go bankrupt to buy itself back from the building owner (some wierd clause). But anyways I had hired these people on my own gut feeling before this happened and at the end where paychecks were bouncing and the thing was coming to an end, the people that were the most loyal was the dishwasher with the 4 tone mohawk, the prepcook with godknows how many piercings, the hostess that had purple hair, and a few other ones that I would call 'unhireables'. But all I ever did for them was give them "Thanks for kicking butt tonight" and "I appreciate you" but they gave me everything. I think they were so used to people seeing the outer that when someone appreciated the inner they gave the 110% that I saw that no one else did. Also seeing ones persona and character are different things. Persona is what one puts out and character is what one builds so that establishes over time. I guess in all no you can't tell a person by looking at them. Would you want to be judged by someone for a 2 minute period of your life? (that you can't pick what 2 minutes they looked at?)

No we cannot usually. But to some extent, by the way he is dressed, the way he carries himself, or any other visible signs like dark circles around his eyes, an odd sense of dressing, the hair kept badly etc. But you never know, if he is owning a charter plane. And also, the person who is looking at them, their judgement will not be the same to everyone.

No, I've learned to my shame it can be SO wrong doing that!

Although of course, since looks are the first thing we see of someone, I do judge a little bit, I think that's only human.

No.

Of course i get inclinations but i don't base my entire judgment of their character on their look.

I've been proven wrong so i try not to assume anymore.

It's only after i've talked to them about something of importance that i can determine their true character.

And some people will just remain a mystery until they pass on.

My husband can. We used to run an apartment complex. He could take one look at a potential tenant say "that one is going to be trouble!" Nine out of ten times he was right!!

Sometimes I think you can; it says in the Bible that we're supposed to show God through ourselves in the way we act, so for me that is a goal :)

I do usually, yes.
