will LPG damage my engine?Shall i install or not?

i've been using it for 3 years now, and i don't notice a bit change on performance, plus it's cheaper. my father used to be a automechanic and installing them, and he recomends it well.

have worked on many fork-lifts that use LPG that were running GM Four cylinder engines and have seen some with literally 10,000 hours and more on them and were still running great, can't say as I have seen where it hurt them any at all. Have heard some say that they have had to do valve work on them sooner than the gas op ones but I certainly haven't seen it?
