when singing, they use thier voice as an instrument, when talking they use thier voice as a projection of who they are. when singing, longer spaces are needed to carry tune, thus blending out most of the "accent"

If you listen closely there are some English singers who do sound English...You probably are too young to remember Gerry and the Pacemakers and Herman's Hermits..both Gerry Marsden and Peter Noone sound English.

It is not just British people my ex was German and sounded American when he sang and I also know someone who stutters when they talk but never when they sing.

I've wondered the same thing before....could it just be that those of us listening aren't really listening with the right accent? I'm really not sure.....

listen to the frattlis and tell me they dont sound english.
