for a better place. They are all so good and powerful people. But we continue to repeat the evils of the past...nothing seems to have changed except excuses and justifications. Everything is getting polluted and people are becoming worse and worse as days go by. What is this? Are we beyond repair? Who will give us a decent life that we like to have so much?

That is such a pessimistic question! The only thing constant is change. The world is a mix of people at many levels of maturity/growth who go forward, falter, regress, digress, egress... If everyone quit worrying about the world and would concentrate on making themselves a better person = what a world we can have. It is all possible. All these great people have/had a time and a place to inspire and motivate us. Each is spreading the word of hope and good will. All teaching us how to live and prosper and 'Enjoy Everyday Life' - get a little Joyce Meyers in your life. Follow it up with some Dr. Creflo Dollar....quit watching doom & gloom and reading bad news. Make a difference by applying any of the teachings of these giving/gifted people to your own life. It will influence all those YOU inspire. You've got their names - now their message!!!

The world cannot be changed overnight with an effort of single person...but those great people put their few pennies ...their visible or invisible presence lead somewhere . Where? WE do not know...Those,listed above and many others changing tiny details of a whole. Whole responding by slightly changing its shape according to new insertion....Slowly..time is a factor..I presume that mentioned repair is going on in quite slow motion...there is ongoing damages would be greater than attempt of unseen forces to repair...well, there is a clash between infinity Intelligence and Wisdom which represented mentioned "unseen" forces , and finite and limited intellect in which humanity resides. That limited intellect amplified by Free Will driven by ignorance or stupidity. That makes game quite complicated . Who gonna win?

JT, May I , please , slightly correct the belief that these great people tried to change the world? No. They did not try to change the world. By their exemplery character and belief they changed the people of the world.. In their times these great men were powerless and helpless themselves. But they didnot give up . Truly they were all catalysts in the process of change.

Today we have relegated them to the backroom with their photographs . annually we do lip service lauding their greatness. One Indian poet , correctly said of Mahatma Gandhi; " They ( the Indian politicians) have dislodged the statue of Gandhi but only retained Gandhi`s walking stick but to use it for fighting!

I feel we, the people of the world have let these leaders down and , in the process let the world down. We keep on expecting SOMEONE else to lead us fron darkness all the time. When will we grow up?

We are all.
We always bring about our own creation or our won destruction, so it's all up to us.
God, all god, gives us sort of like a power to make your life better everyday. It depends on us now, whether we want to create order or create a chaos into our life. Not depends on religions at all.
Most people do think that the world becomes a worse place to live because of our sin and God punishes the world for that. I don't think God is vengeful. That's totally wrong. God is love. Definitely. God loves his people. All the chaos and calamity happen in this world derive from our actions. We decide and create chaos not refuse to live in order.

We are small...... rather than try to change the whole world, we can aim to change ourselves, bit by bit...... and soon we shall be seeing a different world altogether. I have heard this several times from several wise people, but unfortunately it sounds like rhetoric and thus I have never got down to try this route. Reason I mention here is in the hope that you may see this reality and be the fortunate one to try out successfully. Not that anyone can guarantee anything!!

Humans beings are a selfish, greedy, self-centred breed.
Nature has made them this way so they can survive and prosper.
And when somebody comes along to try and change them, for instance Gandhi or Christ, they're immediately silenced.
That's the paradox of human existence.

what u see is supposed to happen to reveal what u r looking at.. the nature of sin. JESUS has changed the world, no one has had a following like HIM or changed history like HE has. so look forward to the future HE has to offer and tell others about it.. this world is not my home I'm only passing thru, my riches are laid up somewhere beyond the Blue

Every one of the people you named had a positive influence for good on the world without them it would certainly be a poorer place.Throughout history people have despaired at the direction the world was going but their are always good people who restore our faith in humanity
