Well I think Kurt is more famous because recently he was named the richest dead musician. I like Kurt more, and there are like so many sites looking for the cause of his death. But people where I live admire Tupac more..I dunno, either for his music or they think he's hot.

I think Tupac may perhaps be more famous now due to the fact there are so many songs you see being released after his death as opposed to Kurt Cobain.
I've also known more people that love Tupac then I do that love Kurt Cobain.
I'm more of a Kurt Cobain fan myself.
I suppose they both have impacted people... sort of equally. I'm not really sure how to explain it though...

Id personally say Tupac-though i am totally a Kurt Cobain fan myself. Lots of Tupac songs were released after his death and only one was released for Nirvana. Oh, and this is totally off subject, but the Nirvana song released after Kurt's death, "you know youre right", is a really really REALLY good song.

2PAC was more famous and still releasing #1 hits before he died. Kurt Cobain's Nirvana wasn't even most popular Seattle band around the time of his death (Pearl Jam was).
Kurt Cobain has impacted many more people because he gave people reason to play guitar and to sing while 2PAC was only a MC inspiring people to rap but not to play an instrument also.
