To see if a number is a perfect square, start breaking it down into its prime factors.
Divide 9506 by 2=4753.
Then start dividing by all the primes until you get a hit.
4753/7=679
679/7=97
Try dividing 97 by prime factors and you will find out 97 is prime.
So 9506=2x7x7x97 and thus is not a perfect square.

No it's not. √9506 = 7√194
= 97.49871794...

Since the √ is not a proper integer it cannot be a perfect square.

Going backwards, to show that root is not the number you multiply by itself to get the original answer:

(97.49871794) (97.49871794)=9505.9999999436778436

Hope this helps.
