the answer is no but if it's just cd or dvd drive functionality that you want just get an external cd or dvd drive that connects to you USB port they are cheap. Depending on the brandyou will spend about $25 to $50 for say a dual layer DVD burner that can play and record both dvd's an cd's of any type

No ... the battery lives there and thats all that will fit ... what kind of laptop doesn't come with a cd drive?

No way, don't try and put anything else inside where the battery goes or you could damage the power contacts.
