A television's refresh rate is 30 FPS (Frames per second) or 30 Hz. Problem is that this causes strain on your eyes without you knowing it. The refresh rate for a computer CRT is about double that and sometimes higher. This reduces some of the strain on your eyes.

Well, mainly because it would be hard to work at a computer if you are sitting across the room from it. It definitely isn't good for your eyes to stare at a computer screen all day but the same applies to anything that you stare at for long periods of time from a short distance. Anything that causes you to strain your eyes will weaken them over time.

The center of the visual show unit and known television are a similar in that they both are made from a similar technologies. a pc visual show unit although has a diverse show and backbone than a television....its brighter for one, and also has more advantageous pixels than a television, making it a lot less visually straining....in case you've been to apply a television show for your visual show unit you should discover that maximum textual content is blurry (except its large fonts) and footage are literally not as sparkling as on a pc visual show unit, this is because of the dpi of the television (dots in line with inch)
