It depends who you believe. There were stories going around that he had lost it in a bizarre gardening accident, but they were started on the internet and then picked up by the "low end" of the glossy magazine sector (National Reporter, Cheers! etc). I *think* he issued some sort of denial through his spokesman, but there were no personal appearances or pictures as corroborating evidence, so the rumours sort of rumbled on. I'd be interested to know where you heard it?
As far as I'm concerned though, it doesn't really affect his ability, and it's not as though he's ever made a big thing out of his clunk, so I think people should just let it lie now. Hope that helps.
