I think you dont really understand what the British are currently concerned about. It is not immigration from their former colonies that is the problem, but from eastern europe.

The answer isn't about colour of the skin. It's about the amount of people coming in. It took thousands of years for Britain to create a culture and way of life it was happy to have, repelling any invaders seen as wanting to change all of that. Although the vast majority of British people don't have a major problem about a small amount of foreigners moving in, as it can be of benefit, large numbers can cause problems and this is why: Work. The main reason that immigrants are brought into the country is to fill jobs that don't usually get filled. Economy. Immigrants bring in trade from their own country and pay tax. All this is good on small levels but the flip side is that: Work. There are more unemployed people than at any time in history who are desperate to work and see immigrants taking the jobs they want. Economy. Most immigrants take as much money as they need to get by on and send the rest home, meaning there is less money in the national economy to go round. People are very unhappy when they see immigrants being given preferential treatment and government handouts they think they should be entitled to. Many immigrants have left their home country because of political problems, particularly from other countries. By having ever increasing numbers of these different groups here and living on each other's doorstep there is every chance there will be flash points on British streets. These are genuine concerns British people have and are not a personal opinion.

They take our jobs leaving English people out of work, they claim benefits, they come from countries where it's good practice to have umpteen children because the health service is bad but in England it's unbelievebly (even under Labour), one of the best in the world. Mostly, they aren't from the commonwealth or the former colonies. By the way your spelling and grammar suck...

Hope that helps,
