I want to buy a laptop for my mother for Christmas. Her old laptop is broken (the screen is nearly falling off) and super heavy. All she does is check her email and save pictures to her hard drive, so I don't need anything for gaming, etc. I also need it to be light, so she won't have to struggle to lift it. Any suggestions? :)

Depends on where in the world you are ... Acer and Compaq both have a wide range of budget notebooks starting from around $750.00 here in Australia
