I wouldn't necessarily use the word "talent" in this context. I think that there is an INCLINATION to perform that certain people have. It gives them the willingness to EXPOSE themselves completely in the context of a performance, which is the sort of thing that audiences respond to. This is something that can't be taught.
But, this trait, in and of itself, is not enough to make an actor successful. There are any number of technical skills that MUST be mastered as well.
So, "talent" is part of it, but TECHNIQUE is also essential.

Uta Hagen, a great actress and teacher, once said that talent is simply a prerequisite in her "Respect for Acting" book.
"Talent alone is not enough. Character and ethics, a point of view about the world in which you live and an education, can and must be acquired and developed" (13).
I totally agree with her. I used to always think I was such a great actress until I went to college. I started getting involved in the theatre programme there and now I can honestly feel and see that I have improved leaps and bounds. I started out with the talent and through my education and expanding of the world I know, my acting has improved.
BEST WISHES!!!

Some are born talented.
Some work hard to acquire talent.
And a lucky few among the 'successful' actors have 'talent' literally thrust upon them !

starting to be an actor takes years of training and larger years of journey. Getting paid artwork, starting to be 'effectual', getting larger roles, all that, that relies upon almost continuously on being interior the right position on the right time, decision, dedication, resilience, being sensible adequate to get extra preparation, more advantageous journey, make wide attempt, and certain - sheer luck.
