I'm a naturally gameless guy. I have such difficulty talking to girls when sober that it's shameful. But when I have been drinking, I can turn into a smooth talking Don Juan. Problem is, the line between Don Juan and Mr. Hyde is blurred and I can become a crazy drunk doing crazy things. Luckily I havent gotten into trouble, and done something illegal, but I've come close. Very close.
Should I just quit drinking and resign myself to being a lonely loser or continue on my path of dr. jekyll mr. hyde?

SERIOUSLY. What's worse? Being on the brink or being single and not getting laid for life?

Yeah, I can be that guy, or the guy that's funny and who gets to go home with the girl. It's just a matter of one or two drinks. That's why I'm scared and angry.

If you can't stop drinking when you start, that is a type of alcoholism.
Give yourself a chance, naturally gameless guy, you may have more "game" than you think when you are sober. Try meeting girls somewhere besides where alcohol is served. Get involved in something that you like to do.. people are most attractive when they are doing something they enjoy- seriously.
Good luck!

Quitting isn't the problem here,in my opinion u should take it easy on urslef.Dont drink so you can become drunk and start smooth talking girls, drinking is a passion man if you start using it for personal needs such as getting laid, you loose all the fun of it.
Whenever u feel lonely go Downtown get a few beers forget all your troubles forget all your cares and play it simple, then the girls will come to you.

Hi there,
All drinking does is lower your inhibitions. I would suggest that you do give up the drinking because it appears it will inevitably land you in a lot of trouble. You need to learn how to be happier, more relaxed, and more confident while sober. For that I would suggest you talk to a counsellor or qualified psychologist.
There is quite a stigma attached to seeing a mental health professional, but there shouldn't be. Seeing a therapist doesn't mean you're crazy or unmanly, and it won't land you in jail, and if anyone has a problem with it it's none of their business anyway.
Good luck to you, and I hope you stop thinking of yourself as a lonely loser, because you're probably a lot better than you give yourself credit for.

Believe me, you have more options than just two. If drinking gives you the courage you need, it means that the courage is already within! If alchohol makes it visible, there will also be other ways to make it visible. think! alchohol removes your self-control by killing your braincells and corrupting your nervous activity - so, the reason why you are a shy lonely person is the self-control and fear and you can solve the issue by going to a doctor and s/he will probably give you some anti-depressants or similar things which will help you the way alchohol does. but this time, you are not in danger of doing something illegal and got into trouble! (i had some friends with the same problem and they have good relationships and dont drink right now)

I seriously suggest you stop your drinking asap. I started doing the "drinking to be a cool guy" thing about a year ago and now I'm an all out alcoholic. I thought I could just do it when I felt like I was going to need to be a little more outgoing and next thing I know I "have" to be that guy all the time. Don't let yourself get caught up like I did. Find other ways that boost your confidence and you will be alot happier.

How about just have one or two drinks, but not becoming drunk.. Doesn't have to be 'all or nothing'. Maybe just a couple of drinks is all you need to bring out your 'Don Juan' side. I wonder if you realize that side of you is in there even without drinking. Maybe you could work on your self-confidence and such, and learn to bring that side out without alcohol. Who knows, it could happen!

What's worse? Being on the brink...turning into an old, friendless alcoholic, destroying your future. But, c'mon...you can get laid and a relationship. You don't need booze to get a chick. You just need to find a way to be Don Juan without it.

You may think that your smooth and cool when your loaded; but your likely loud, boorish, obnoxious and rude. Don't panic over pussy. Just talk to women like you talk to your friends. Ask them about them and listen.
If you had all the cash you ever spent on booze, how many top shelf call girls could you afford.
