Nope, Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on January 6 and it varies as they still use the Euclidian Calander which doesn't account for the leap years.

Yes, there are different times, but it is a bit complicated. Some Orthodox Churches, especially in Eastern Europe, follow the old Julian calendar, not the Gregorian calendar (which came in1582 and substituted the Julian one in most Western countries). The calendars differ 13 days. So December 25 in the Julian Calendar is January 7 in the Gregorian calendar. So many Orthodox Christians (but certainly not all, especially not in the U.S.) celebrate Christmas Day on what most people think of as January 7.

In Scandinavian countries, there are three Christmas holidays, and it's Christmas Eve, 24 December, that is celebrated as the real feast day with Santa and all. Christmas Day (25 Dec) is a quiet day with no specific celebrations - just a very early church service. Boxing Day (25 december) is a holiday, but with no special traditions and no special celebrations.

No. The Orthodox churches in most countries celebrate the Christmas Eve January 6 and the Christmas Day January 7 since those churches are still using the old Julian calendar. The exception is the Greek Orthodox Church that accepted the Gregorian calendar, so they celebrate Christmas December 25 as well. However, almost all countries whose majority religious population are Orthodox Christians officially fully accepted the new Gregorian calendar in everyday life.

I think it is, by Christians anyhow-maybe not by all religions. I could definitely be wrong this time though.

Hannukah is not the same as Christmas but is celebrated near the same time, but not exactly on the day.

Honestly, I only answered this because I looked at my profile that said I had earned 666 points this week, and decided I couldn't go to bed with that number. I had to answer another question. What better question to answer than one about Jesus.

Merry Christmas!!!

Yes Christmas is always on the 25th of Dec.
The only diff if it is winter or summer. in Europe it is in summer in Australia for eg it is in summer. the exact date of Jesus birth is not known but on the 25 of September the daytime starts getting longer (a metaphor the sun {good} winning over bad {the moon the dark}) that is why they decided to celebrate it on 25th Dec.

(and for the comment above me OTHER RELIGIONS DON'T CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS)
