The actual lyric is: "Jimmy crack corn and I don't care, Master's gone away."
Jimmy is a slave; to crack corn is to screw up. The narrator (I) doesn't care because the Master has left. It's as if the singer can enjoy Jimmy's screw up light heartedly without the fear of reprimand to himself or Jimmy by the absent Master.

I think someone is jealous that Jimmy cracks some corn.. but they try to act like they don't care. Childish if you ask me ;) But regardless.. Jimmy will still crack that corn.

Maybe they did care for Jimmy, just not about his cracking shenanigans.
