This is a great question and a far cry from some of the .... questions people ask or the political rants.. I have truly enjoyed reading your responses.

Sounds like you have quite a houseful, that is cool. People with pets live happier, longer lives!

We have 3 pets right now.

A puppy named Sasha, she is an American Pit Bull Terrier, and just a little lamb.

Raven is our Shih Tzu, she is two years old. She is a dear of a lap dog and I call her my dogger (since I have all boys no daughter) I keep her hair long and she wears a bow in her top knot) she doesn't know she is a dog. She is sure she is a little girl and loves to follow her brothers (our sons) around. You tell her go play with your brothers and she will seek them out!

Midnight is our sharpei, she just turned 8 years old and is a darling. She would do anything for her family and is an excellent judge of charcter. She is deep down a puppy at heart and forgets how big she is. She loves to jump up in your lap even though she is NOT tiny.

Midnight and Raven have taken well to our new puppy. Raven lets her play with her tail as Sasha who is short haired is completely fascinated by Raven's long hair, it is very cute.

We are lucky to have great dogs. They are a huge part of our 'pack'.

Our sugar glider, Wendy, passed away this summer, we haven't got a new pair yet, as I just can't rush right out and 'replace' them. Her sister died a few years ago and we were worried she wouldn't do well alone. (sugar gliders need companions as they are colony animals and very social) But because she is so social with us she was fine and plenty happy even with her sister Tinkerbell gone. We were sad that she passed, but she was actually quite old for a glider. I don't want the kids to think you just run out and get a 'new' one. As that doesn't honor your pet that has passed and teaches children pets are disposable. I really miss her.
Happy Holidays to you and your menagerie!

Top boy is Yoda the european black cat, who peacefully shares the house with Brutus the russian dwarf hamster and The Water Angels, our two supposedly plain goldfish who have developed the most incredible fin veils.
Used to have a pet ewe called Bambie (Dorset white face) who miraculously survived the foot-and-mouth crisis then died of natural causes a few years later.

Wow! What a zoo! I only have a 9 year old Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie), and her name is Sassafras (Sassy, for short). She's sort of our kid, 'cause our kids are grown up and gone. We take her with us when we go camping. She loves to go places. When I was a kid, my folks had a farm, and we had about 90 chickens, a dozen geese, 8 ducks, 14 dogs (my female German Shepherd had 12 puppies!), and two cats. I wanted a horse, but we never got one...too expensive. I would suggest that you don't invest in a cat! Could be very hazardous to the health of some of your pets! <*)))><
