Don't smoke! It's terrible for your health. Why did you get a tongue piercing? They get easily infected and most people who get them are hard to understand (their speech is a little slurred). If you want an answer to the question, I am not so sure about smoking just after getting a tongue piercing. It might help an infection although alot of germs live in our mouths already so really I don't know if it would make a difference or not.

Try and kick the smoking habit while your still young. It causes many different diseases and cancers. You can get throat cancer, lung cancer etc. Pick up another hobby/something to do with your time. It's not cool to smoke! It's stupid. I'm sorry but I have very strong stubborn views about this.

Smoking isn't a physically powerful thought. i'm no longer encouraging your smoke, yet i might desire to tell you I also have a tongue ring and the only time smoking mattered replaced into in basic terms 3 days once you get it pierced(: you may smoke and it won't result your tongue in any way!! besides the shown fact that it will make you enamel yellow, ought to grant you lung maximum cancers, and makes you stink....

It' not OK to have a tongue ring or smoke, but to each it's own, I hope your tongue do not set up infection, and did you know that the tongue is thick that if you take the ear ring out for a day it will close up, also stop smoking it's bad for you health.

OMG ok, aside from all these asswipes lecturing you on why not to smoke. I will tell you this. I AM a smoker and someone who had their tongue pierced for 8 years. It IS NOT good to smoke afterward. They warned me of that when I got mine done. BUT. It isn't going to kill you to do so. Or infect it any more IF you take super good care of it by rinsing your mouth with LISTORINE a LOT!! Geeze smoke em if you got em and if you don't then mind your own damn business. Worry about your own life and health.

I'd advise against it. There is always the chance of opening the piercing more or getting the toxins from smoke lodged in the hole. your best bet is to take out the piercing and save the damage to your teeth and gums, as well as your lungs since your shouldn't be smoking anyways.

Smoking will actually keep the piercing from healing. It's not good to smoke at all but it is really not when you have an open wound in your mouth.

There's a big risk of infection when u get a tongue ring, don't add to that by smoking.

Hey, there's an open wound in my mouth. I think the smartest idea is to put 4,000+ poisonous chemicals in there when it hasn't even healed.

...

NO! Don't smoke... EVER. Your life ambition should not be to die young, okay?

It's not OK to smoke, period. It's not cool or sexy it's just stupid. You'll look dumb enough with a ring in your tongue. Don't make it worse my sucking on a cigarette.
