Well, you've answered the question yourself. Assuming it is an imperfect practice to cause harm, then you cannot create a perfect society when people cause harm to themselves, others, other creatures, or, possibly even the environment.

So, I'm not sure really what you are asking, unless you mean to ask whether it is possible to get people to stop causing harm. It seems like it is not possible if mankind possess free-will. For in that case you would have to have a world where everyone freely chooses to not ever harm and this seems highly imporbable, if not impossible.

We cant. After the rapture it will SEEM like we have a perfect society when the Antichrist comes to make peace for 3 and 1/2 years and then things will get super bad for 3 and 1/2 years again. But after this The Lord Jesus will return and make war against the antichrist and we will have 1000 years of true peace . We will have a new earth and new heavens. Read Revelation. The last chapter of the bible. And Daniel and Matthew. Try it in NASB form so it is easier to understand. You will be blown away i promise.

I disagree with the "Perfect Society" bit, but I think we humans when we all have a common denominator like save the world and it gets serious will chip in and start regulating things to an average rather than a rich or poor, or strong or weak status. Good , bad or indifferent my friend we are in this one together and as soon as we all adopt the mentality we have a weather problem, "Katrina?" and it wont stop there. There is a global warming problem that will supercede everything sooner than later. So I agree there is hope for some but only those that are willing to give up all of their selfish notions about territories, oils, and particularily who has the most toys and money gets to heaven we will make it.

I believe a "perfect society" isn't one where people do not cause harm at all, but where the good triumphs over evil.
An action, good or evil performed by people has a purpose and crystallizes the definition of a society.
The "perfect society" hence is born when more people are aligned towards doing a good deed with minimal intentions of serving the ego.

If you do good you should be rewarded.
If you do wrong you should be punished.
People get allot for nothing or they just take it(steal).
You see the rich get everything complimentary (for free) even if they can afford it.
Everyone else has to pay full price.
Prisons are summer camps for most convicts.
All their friends and family are locked up too. (I know I work at one)
They have no responsibilities. Most pay no restitution, or pay child support, Don't have to help raise children(most have allot of children) the kids call the fathers sperm donors.
The kids see all this and think it's normal. They soon will be locked up.
We need to hold people accountable. the punishment should fit the crime, or be more harsh if they don't straighten up.
We should deport, or take away the rights of those that do not follow the law.
Most of us follow the law it's not that hard to do.
People see that it's easy to get away with it, or they won't be punished . They'll take the chance and break the law.
Zero tolerance for drug dealers, murderers, child molesters, drunk drivers, repeat offenders.
community based convicts should work the hard labor jobs and save the tax payers money. Working the freeways, the fields, or yard / janitorial work.
They should be used to fix, and/or clean (paint, repair, small constuction) public schools, parks, government office buildings/sites.

Pre school should be like free public schools.
What we learned in Kindergarden kids now learn in preschool.
The things they need to know when they get to kindergarden we learn in the 1st grade.
If your child stayed home with mom, grandma or went to a preschool that wasn't into academics and didn't learn these things they are going to have a hard time in school.
Schools should teach life skills from 5th grade on.
School districts should have vocational high schools.
School disricts should have school set aside for troubled kids from the 7th grade on. These schools should try to get these kids back into mainstream schools.

Money- We need to take more money out of circulation . we keep printing more money without buying more gold the value goes down. Supply and demand.
Same amount of gold+more money= less value for the $

Perfect societies are a myth. A dangerous myth.
Hitler was trying to create a perfect society.
So was Stalin, Pol Pot, And countless other sociopaths throughout history.
Whenever the idea of enforced sameness is inflicted upon a people, much less upon all people, the same old problem arises.
People, are of different wants, needs, and views. Some of these views are rigidly held as indisputible. Many of those same views conflict with one another, and the idea of changing or discarding the point of view is not an option, for the view constitutes a way of life and way of being to the holder. They are willing to fight, and to die to keep what they feel is theirs, and theirs alone. The socital divisions and territorial boundries are the greatest tools we have to minimize clashes over doctrine. The PROBLEM IS, These borders are not respected. Territory is disputed. Religious sectarianism causes socities to erupt from within. Every one with their own view...Wishing nothing less than to share it with you...Whether you like it...OR NOT!

There is no such thing as a perfect society.
They are the stuff of myth and legend.
And beautiful songs like,
IMAGINE.

In all reality, the only perfect society will be controlled by an authoritarian government. There is no possible way to insure complete peace without control mechanisms in place. So, if there ever is a "perfect" society I would most likely not want to be a part of it because it would almost certainly be under grim circumstances of a corrupt government. It would only be a facade of perfection, hiding the bad seeds which control it.

We can't. Not out of human beings, anyway.

It's like trying to build a perfect building out of flawed bricks. We can argue about the design of the building, (which can be better or worse) but there remains that one critical problem which will show with cracks and distortions not there in the wonderful blueprint.

So the best, but not perfect, society will be the one which works with real human nature, not with an optimistic utopian view of it. We can have better education and more equitable social structures, but we're always going to need police.

It very simple and can be done cost effectively within a given time frame. Let everybody in this world concenterate all thier actions on making the other person happy - from the moment they are awake till they fall asleep, every day for their entire life. You just spread the word to everybody. I dont think there will be any serious objection to this. But I dont have the time to make everybody aware of this little secret.

Your assumption is philosophically unsound.

If "all the people causing harm", as you say, then the perfect society would be made up of "all the people perfectly causing perfect harm", which would mean that very soon, you would have no society, no people, nada.
