What do you think of this quote: Never show tears of sorrow for anyone because it is not worth it. Anyone who is worth your tears would not let you cry for them.

a friend told me this quote. even tho i know it is impossible to never cry, it makes a lot of sense doesn't it? i would really aprreciate it if you let me know your opinion.

Tears of joy are good, for example when your baby is born. Crying over the passing of a loved one (spouse, relative, good friend etc) is also alright. Matter-of-fact crying over the loss of a beloved public figure such as Princess Di or John F. Kennedy is acceptable. Crying can be a release of emotions that if kept inside could be harmful. We're human not unemotional robots - crying when appropriate - even over a broken relationship is okay if needed to help the healing process, then we move on to experience life's further adventures.

I did that once (no, twice), then realized that it wasn't worth it. You can grieve the ending of a relationship. You can't help but cry. When a relationship ends, it does hurt.

The important thing is, when you go through the anger stage, try not to stay there too long. Let your anger come and deal with it.

There are five stages of grief that we go through when a relationship ends (much like facing the death of a loved one), deal with each of them as they come. Don't deny yourself your feelings as they come. If you must, keep a journal of each one, and just let the tears flow. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

In the end, you will still have fond memories of this person. Do not take it personally that the relationship didn't work out. It just happens sometimes. You just weren't right for each other.

When the realization comes that, if he loved you as much as you feel you love him, you'd be together. :-(

I have cried over nearly pointless things so many times its insane. Later Im like why were you just crying about that. I agree with that quote 100% its the people that truely love you that dont want you to cry, and if you do cry they are always there to pick you back up and wipe away the tears.

The quote to me means that if they liked you as much as they said then they did then they would never of let you go and never let you cry by yourself.
